ABSTRACTS



Deadline for submission of Abstracts: February 29, 2008

All participants are invited to submit abstracts of scientific communications that will be peer-reviewed for their possible acceptance. Letters of acceptance will be sent by March 2008. The abstracts of the accepted communications will be published in the Abstracts Book distributed to all Symposium attendants and in a searchable format on the Symposium website, which will be opened one month before the Symposium.

Abstracts can only be submitted electronically through the online system which is avaliable at www.europaediatrics2008.org . Note that abstracts can not be submitted by fax or post. Authors will be guided automatically through the system when submitting the abstract. Please note that the Program Committee reserves the right to select and finalize the entire program.

All accepted abstracts will be prepared as electronic supplement which will be published in ACTA PAEDIATRICA.

Guidelines for abstract submission
Please note that the abstract will not be accepted unless the presenting author is registered. You will only be given a confirmation after completing your registration. Instructions for abstract submission
Abstracts should be submitted in English and be a maximum of 250 words.

Notification for Abstract Status
Abstracts will be peer-reviewed for their possible acceptance. Some selected abstracts will be invited to be presented as oral communications. The preference of oral and poster presentation should be indicated by applicants on the abstract submission form. The final desicion on the format of presentation, however, will be made by the Programme Committee and the authors will be informed about the form of their presentation by March 2008, with relevant instructions.

Presentation Equipment
Data Projector for Power Point presentations and overhead projector will be avaliable in each meeting room.

Poster Presentations
Poster sizes should not exceed 70 cm width and 90 cm height. A poster number will be assigned to each abstract which will be announced to the first author along with with the day of presentation. Presenters are responsible for setting up and removing the posters.

Rewards
Two rewards will be given in terms of the mentioned categories:
1. The best oral presentation
2. The best research reward among 3 Europaediatrics participants whose publications have been published in SCI in 2006 and 2007.

The participants who are successful in each categories will be rewarded. The reward will be registration, accommodation and flight tickets for “ 3 Europaediatrics 2009 ”
