The courses you must complete throughout the four years of medical school in order to become a pediatrician will be very tiresome. You will delve into a more in-depth study of all major science courses including anatomy. The last two years will be spent focused on what you want to do with your medical career; i.e. – pediatricians.

4. Once you complete medical school you will be required to pass the medical board exams so that you could apply for a training program specifically for pediatricians. The better you perform on those medical exams, the higher your chances are at getting into better training programs. This will give you more opportunities at becoming a successful pediatrician.

5. You must then complete an internship that is required of all future pediatricians that lasts for a period of one year. Upon completing this internship and a residency for two years, you will need to take another round of medical board exams. Once you pass these exams you will become a certified pediatrician.
